When Melisa tagged me to show you what's in my purse, I was really embarrassed. You see I don't have a cute little chic purse like Melisa. I carry a huge bag that is starting to fall apart. It's an OK looking bag, but it's way too big to be a purse, and I'm not saying it's ugly or anything, (it is, sorry Mom, Dad and Vera Bradley) but it's also huge. Actually, it's probably not that bad, it's just not really me. And, lest I offend someone, there are some Vera Bradley bags that I do like. Why do I carry it, you ask? Well, because I had it, because it's big enough to carry all my stuff, and because I didn't have to shop for it. I am horrible at shopping for handbags. I would like to go shopping and choose a cute little sexy handbag that will carry my stuff and look good to boot. I've just never found one that fit that bill and that I can afford. I think this tag will give me just the push I need to try harder people! LOL. If, after reading this post, anybody wants to take me under their wing, just let me know.
For the record, this is the cutle little Coach bag that I've had forever, that I use when I'm going out with just DH or the girls, and I don't feel like I need to carry anything and everything. Yes, it's ancient, but again, I didn't buy it, and I didn't have to shop for it.
OK, here goes, clockwise from the top: I have hand lotion (Bath & Body Works, of which I'm not really a fan, so I've had it since 2004, I'm trying to force myself to use it up!), hand sanitizer (the fun kid kind from Bath & Body Works, which I love, as well as a more grown-up version, which I don't!). OH MY GOSH, I just tried to link to the kid's line, and I can't find it on their website. I really hope they haven't discontinued it. Anyway, I have a lip balm, a lip gloss, multiple packs of tissues, a pack of crayons, magic scratch off paper (to keep the kids entertained if we have to wait somewhere), a pack of mints, several handfuls of mints from Abuelos (the waiter went way crazy the last time we were there, and DS begged me not to throw them away--they'll be in there still when I'm tagged again in 2 years!), a Chuck E Cheese polaroid, a Dora bib holder, 2 pens, some receipts, my planner (which I'm not sure I could live without!), my the clicker thing that I use to keep track of what I'm spending at the grocery store (all right, I don't use it, I used to, but it takes forever!, now it's just in there for my kids to play with), a bag of 10 different medicines so I'm ready for anything my family can throw at me, miscellaneous gift cards and coupons that I really should find a safe place for, Namits the Game of Think, Junior, (a great way to pass time at restaurants and waiting rooms), my wallet that has anything and everything in it, and my little wallet because I got tired of digging through all the crap in my big wallet, so now I keep what I really use in the little one. I've told you, I have issues!
Anyway, that's what I carry around, everyday, so I can feel like I've got it covered. Of course, whenever something does come up, inevitably, that's when I'm out of tissues, or I've taken out my planner and left it at home, or I can't find what I'm looking for because I have too much crap in my bag, but that's another post! I tag Tanya, Tracey and Jennifer to see what's in their bags next.

My purse is so tiny, that it's very boring. Now, if I were to empty the kid backpack I carry for the children? That would uncover some interesting stuff....
I like your purse! For my birthday, my sister bought me a huge new purse, which is completely different from the small one (which she also bought me, years ago) that I had before. And now, I'm carrying around a virtually empty purse because I'm so used to only having a limited amount of space.
PS: I will complete the meme you tagged me for soon!
OMG! VERY impressive.
I think you'd be prepared for any natural disaster. I want to hang with you! :)
