Last week, we all were going a little stir crazy around here after doing nothing for days on end since Jacob was sick. Thursday Jacob was getting pretty cranky. I knew I better come up with something good for Friday. Homemade Playdough saved the day. This time we divided our batch in two, colored half orange and half black. We added orange Kool-Aid to the orange playdough and grape Kool-Aid to the black for scent. They had fun for a good long time, and like magic good moods were restored.
A couple of board games later and Jacob kept marvelling about what a good day it was.
I have to agree.
Unfortunately, he's been home sick again this week. Hopefully he'll be well enough to go back tomorrow, if not, we'll pull out the playdough!
(My daughter looks a bit disheveled as we had not yet gotten ready for our day. Clean clothes were on, but hair had not yet been brushed, etc. I debated whether or not I wanted to take pictures before they were "ready". Then realized I was being a crazy person. lol.)

play dough is so much fun...especially when they figure out that it isn't food. great snap shots!
Your homemade play dough looks great. Every time we've ever tried it, it just turned into a grey lump.
I LOVE homemade playdough!! What a fun mom you are!!
And the pictures? Well, you've captured your kids having fun and being creative and done it perfectly!!!

How fun! We haven't done this since my oldest was about 3. We need to do it again! Great pictures!
Jacob's still home sick, eh? Oh what a treat. I sure do hope he starts to feel better soon!
And homemade play dough is about the only play dough I'll let the girls play with here... at least I know that when they drop it on the floor and the dog decides to lick it - it's pretty ok.
I just can't stand the smell of it when I make it! Smart of you to put in kool-aid!!!
Play dough comes to our rescue all of the time! Great pictures - and very creative creations! Happy PSF!! :)
no throwing or fighting or tears? i doubt i would be that lucky!
