If you pray...

Please pray today for my friend. She starts her first of 4 rounds of chemo today. I'm praying all goes well, that she's healed, that she's never bothered with cancer again. It concerns me that they have to adjust the drugs they give her. They can't give her the most potent (effective?) because she's already had it with her initial bout of cancer and it can cause heart damage. Wow! Doesn't that just bring home the toxicity of chemo? Anyway, I would appreciate it if you would say a prayer that this mother of three is healed, that all goes well, that friends and even strangers step up to make her road easier.

If you want to do something more to help her and other women like her? Consider joining the army. It's so easy to register. The Army of Women is about signing up as many women to create a database of women who agree to be contacted by email when researchers are looking for possible participants for breast cancer studies. I joined about a month ago and I've been contacted by email twice. It's not a big deal, it's very clear right away if it's something you qualify for or not. Each instance has taken literally maybe a minute of my time. Please consider joining this database.

Most of all, please join me in praying for my friend today.

Praying along with you! Cancer is hard for everyone involved and it is so draining for the person haveing to fight it. The more support they have the better they can deal. I have never heard of the Army but i will be sure to join. Thanks for the link!

Sending good thoughts to you and your friend during this terrible time.

Good luck at holding strong while supporting her. She's obviously going to need it!
