Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are…
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect Tomorrow.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth,
or bury my face in my pillow,
or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky
and want, more than all the world, your return.

Semi Retirement...

I wasn't clear on my last post. The problem is not with the wireless coming into our home, nor is it with the router. It's a problem with the laptop, and it looks fatal. We're not able to access the internet with the laptop as it no longer has wireless access. It's probably a problem with the internal wireless card...or connection...or whatever. It's a known defect with HP and when it rears it's ugly head there doesn't seem to be much you can do beyond replacing the mother board, which HP has already done once for us because of the exact same problem.

It doesn't make any sense to us to put a couple of hundred dollars into trying to have it fixed, as we just did that, and sooner or later you start to cut your losses. It's aging out, it's been having problems, I think we probably need to replace it.

There are a lot of other more important things in the long queue of things we need to spend money on however. So for the foreseeable future I'll be using the desktop. It's not as convenient as it is located in our basement family room, so I don't get the opportunity to be online very often. I'm surprisingly at peace with that. It's a change I've been working on anyway. I'll continue to take my 365 photographs, I just may or may not be able to post them.

I'll continue to check in on all of you as much as I can, although I may not be able to comment as I have in the past.

I'll continue to check my email, though again, at a much reduced rate.

It's all good. There was life before the laptop, there's life after, just wanted to explain why I'm going away a bit.

A bientot

hope it turns out to be not as bad as it seems - with the laptop.

Stacey - I'm going to miss seeing your daily posts!! While it takes me awhile to stop by here to leave my comments, I do make sure I read everything you write in my google reader.

Good luck on getting your laptop situation resolved - however you have to do it!!

Enjoy the silence!! xx

Oh! I am so used to internet now I couldn't live without it. It must be an obsession of mine, like you, I know there is more to life than a laptop, but it sure does add to my life!!

Oh bugger. That stinks.
I have not been blogging much lately because my computer is dying too. It is SOOOOOoooooo slow it takes forever to visit my bloggy friends. It would be great if I could get a laptop someday. Ah well.
I hope things start looking up for you. It seems like everything is hitting you all at once.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers! :)
