Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are…
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect Tomorrow.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth,
or bury my face in my pillow,
or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky
and want, more than all the world, your return.

Photo Story Friday--Muffins with Moms

Last week Julianna's teacher held a "muffins with mom" open house.
I was so thankful I got to go.
We had a lot of fun and she had a lot of pride showing me around her room.

Practicing dance shadows.

Questions they've had about units they're studying.

They've planted seeds.
(Poor sweetie, she doesn't know it's doomed to die.)
We've never successfully grown a plant from seed. Never.
If you have the answer I'm all ears.
Seriously.

**I think this is my best shot of the week.**

A special poem for Mommy.

We've been so lucky for Julianna to have this teacher this year.
She's truly wonderful.
Young. Energetic. Full of enthusiasm.
Complete opposite of burned out.
Caring.
I could go on and on.

We had a great time at Muffins with Mom.
It was awesome to spend the time with her and to focus just on her.
She's pretty special.

What a special day for you!
Only once have we successfully grown a plant from seed. It was a pumpkin plant and it grew so well, and then we planted it in the ground and poor Jack stepped on it and totally crushed it. Oh well.

How great is that? My sons school doesn't do that and I would love it if they did! She looks like she is a very wonderful girl! So glad you get to be her Mommy!

Oh that does sound so nice :)

I just LOVE getting those handprints with the poems. One of my favorite gifts! (I have a bunch of them framed)

What a special day for the two of you. They always do this at my girls' school, and I never get to participate.

How fun. We're officially ending 12 years of school in June with Marcus' high school graduation.
It's been a blessing to have been able to participate in many field trips, school projects and lots of discussions.
I decided to make some time for blog visiting this morning.
We've been so busy these days. My husband got a new full time job and we'll be moving next month. Our son is graduating next month. And me, I've been working full time and taking classes.

Awesome photos-except I wanted to see one of you and Julianna!

I have successfully grown a plant (a lima bean plant, to be exact) from a seed! In fact, I'm about to transplant it outside this weekend (it's been growing in my house in a pit since March). I have no idea what the secret is, except it got a ton of sunlight on the ledge in my kitchen. Good luck!
