Thursday dawned bright and early and we were off to pack the car and head to Ohio University.
Somehow, we had to figure out how to get all that stuff into the van.

It was actually easier than I thought it would be.
At least we weren't so stuffed that someone had to sit on someone's lap!
They were from Pennsylvania. I wonder if they really travelled all that way like that.
After we got her all settled in, we had time to walk around and be together.
It was a good day. There were even times to be silly.
Saying good-bye was really hard though.
It's cliche, but I truly can not believe how fast 18 years goes.
Bon Voyage Darling.
I hope it's a wonderful journey.

I shouldn't have read this right now. :)
Gah.
I've got my camera in my purse already because I was worried I'd forget it. Your pics are awesome.
We have about the same amount of stuff! :)
That brought a tear to my eye. I hope she has a great time at college.
Stopping by from PSF. I used to be a Resident Assistant in college and lived in the halls for 4 years. I loved it and loved college (I'm in Michigan, not too far from you in OH!). Hope she enjoys dorm life as much as I did!
AND... I'm bawling for you again.
I'm glad it went so well. :)
Looks like you made the best of it and had a good time despite the fact that you had to let her go!
It seems like not so long ago that I was moving into my college dorm. What memories! Rebekah will have a wonderful time. :-D
Aww! Tears in my eyes! :( I hope she is adjusting well!
I was in your shoes 4 years ago.
I remember watching our daughter walk away from our car as she was heading into her dorm.
My husband said "remember when we dropped her off her first day of kindergarden and now its the first day of college".
Well, just the other day she became a teacher to a wonderful second grade class. My husband stayed home to help take the younger kids to school and as we dropped Megan off at her school to teach he said "remember when we dropped her off the first day of kindergarden and now we are dropping her off as the teacher.
(by the way, she bought her own car this past weekend).
No matter how old they are, they're our babies.
Hang in there, she has many wonderful experiences ahead of her.
Best Wishes!
Suzanne
