Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are…
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect Tomorrow.
One day I shall dig my nails into the earth,
or bury my face in my pillow,
or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky
and want, more than all the world, your return.

Father Daughter Dance

Okay, not completely wordless, but not totally wordful either.  :)   Julianna had a wonderful time at the Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance.  She looked forward to it forever!  The theme of the night was a Black and White Ball.  I learned about the store Belk from another blog, checked it out, and fell in love with this dress.  The minute she saw it, she was in love.  Julianna desperately loves all things french right now, she would absolutely love to go to Paris.  This dress was a dream come true for her.  She loved her makeover, her corsage...it was all magical.

The dance was supposed to last from 5 until 7.  They were home by 6:20.  She had had enough.  She went, she danced, she was done.  Too funny.

I was so thankful Mark was feeling well enough to go to the dance.  Thankful Jason had stepped forward and volunteered to go if Mark couldn't.  Thankful for all the people in my little girl's life who love her dearly and do what they can to make her dreams come true.

Most of all, thankful that my dear little girl has such a special daddy who is awesome at making her feel like she can count on him, that she's special, that she is important in his life.  What little girl doesn't need that?

That. Is. Awesome.

She looks beautiful, and I LOVE that dress! The corsage actually looks fabulous with it, tho I know you weren't thrilled about it. And she is beaming! :)

And yes. Every girl needs a daddy to dote on her. How wonderful! :)

Those are special times for kids when they can spend the evening with a parent.
My daughter and 6 year old grand son went to Mother-son dance and dinner the other night. I have watched the video she posted a dozen times. He was dancing his heart out and having such a wonderful time.
