Outside my window...it's gray and overcast.
Today I feel...lazy and relaxed, it's the weather
I am thinking...there's a blogpost I really, really need to write.
I am thankful...for my family. Our situation is unique, but I love everything about it.
Tomorrow I am going to...work, then get ready to enjoy the weekend!
I am wearing...jeans, a 3/4 length sleeve dusty red shirt, and comfy slippers. :)
I wish...weekends were 3 days? Seriously, I wish the rec center we belong to opened at 5:30. I just don't have a time that works to get there and work out, and I need to somehow incorporate physical activity into my life.
This weekend...Jacob and Julianna are going to OU to spend Sibs weekend with Rebekah. Mark and I will be alone at home for the first time in (almost) 27 years.
I am reading...Bright Lights, Big Ass by Jen Lancaster. I am loving it, she's so funny.
I am working on...what else? Procrastinating! Actually, I have some sour dough starter I'm working on bringing to life. I'm hoping to make some delicious things with it in the next few weeks (year).
Yesterday I...spent WAY too much money at Costco. I didn't buy anything we won't use, so it's all right, right? Right? I seriously could have had a heart attack when the cashier told me what I owed. *sigh*
I am hoping...Julianna, Jacob & Rebekah have a wonderful time this weekend.
I am hearing...the baby I watch waking up, the 20 month old I watch chanting "Zippy, Zippy, Zippy" and counting 8, 9, 10 as he throws toys to Zippy over and over again. They both love that game. :)
I bet you didn't know...Jacob left his coat at cub scouts at school last night and sadly, it's probably gone forever. I will be extremely surprised if it's not stolen. It's a super nice (and fairly expensive) fleece that he absolutely loves. I'm hoping I'm wrong and he gets it back.
One of my favorite...things is that I have customized ring tones for Mark, Jason & Lori, Rebekah and my parents. When my cell phone rings and I hear those familiar songs, it always makes me smile. :)
If I could travel anywhere, I would choose...hmmm, right now, if I could travel anywhere...I guess I would pick a family trip to D.C. There's so much Jacob and Julianna would love to see, it's hard to believe it's been 5 years since we've been there!

Anyone have any great ideas on how to spend our 24 hours alone this weekend? We're going to try and treat it as though we're away, even though we'll be home. Eating out, going to a movie, spending our B&N groupon...any other ideas?

Wow. The first weekend alone in almost 27 years. Hmm. What to do? The possibilities are endless! Hope you think of something fun! :)

Create something together. I'm dead serious. Find a pottery place, or build a picture frame out of wood scraps, or something. Anything you two can make and keep; you'll love looking at it.
Have a great weekend and don't do any work! Relax and enjoy just being a couple.
Isn't that book hilarious? I agree...every weekend should be three days. I was soo spoiled yesterday! I was off by 10am and it was 67*!! I'm so excited for you guys to have the weekend together! I cannot believe you haven't been kid free in 27 years! No weekend away for an anniversary or anything? I agree with Melissa's idea to make something together...you'll treasure your weekend forever. Try not to worry about the kiddos too much...I'm sure they'll have a great time too! Happy Friday! A
